Family Vacation - Part III

Our fourth and last day at the canyon was a trippy one...

it was warmer than the past few days, sun beaming down on us with no mercy!

The clouds that I had asked for! Mhhm!

On our trip, we were at the furthest point East on the Southern Rim. Now we were on the farthest point West!

Yes, the grass (and trees) are greener on the other side... I like it on this side! ;)

Lookie there! A fire place inside of a fireplace! Ultra-warmth for the win!

Then the clouds REALLY started to roll in, along with rain, thunder and lightning! And the weather was still warm! I could personally say that I've been at the Grand Canyon in all sorts of weather conditions! (heat, rain, thunder and lightning, and snow!)

Reminded me of an international teen fashion magazine... can someone say Unbound Italia?!

I just needed to show you all the color of the building... Nearly blinded me!

Holy moley! GOD BLUSS AMURICA!

And this was at 7 o'clock or so!

A beautiful sunset to end an awesome vacation: 4 camping fours days at the Grand Canyon, meeting wonderful neighbors--

WAIT A SEC...

speaking of our wonderful neighbors and new friends, they stopped by on their "West Coast tour" and stopped by our house for lunch!

We are a CARAZY BUNCH! :P

We had an awesome vacation! We couldn't ask for anything more!

Family Vacation - Part II

Part II of our family vacay!

Yes... that's right! In the MORNING! HA!

Not only was it early, but it was starting to rain and the weather was warm!

The moment, of course, didn't end up happening until 5:24 am! Ha! Thank goodness it was warm!

Shiva's Temple, I would have to say, is my FAVORITE carving of the canyon!

The time that we were finished with all this... and yes, that's still the morning!

After a MUCH needed 3 hour rest, we were back on the road to see more of the canyon!

Now we can say we jumped over the canyon!

Well Chris... where's your jump shot? Oh don't worry, I made a whole post for that!

This made me happy, spreading to joy of jumping photography to foreigners!

The Colorado River this time around had more sediment in it because of rain the week before!

The first time we went to the canyon in 2003...

Nine years later, more serious than ever... YEAH RIGHT! BAHAHA!

I'd say the same thing back to the person, only if they SPELLED it right!

Yes... that book is a best seller! Thanks for the encouraging stories National Parks!

Haven't I seen you before?

Nevermind...

A California Condor! (Or to some of us... a giant crow! ;) ) If you look closely at the wing, you
can see it's tag.

While everyone else and their mothers were looking at the sunset, I found this little guy!

My lovely hand model of a mother! :)

Our adorable little abode at night!

What's camping without a campfire?

We had a little twist to it though... we had these "Fire Colors" packages that burned different colors! It was pretty nifty! :)

The last and final part, you can see here.
